WRITING PROJECTS

As I feared, the new City of Kik is up and running, our entertainment newsgroup is more popular than ever, but we haven't been able to update the Web site since the beginning of March. I've been preoccupied with acting on stage (three plays in a row) and then my day job (a promotion and dealing with the media during our busiest season and the culmination of major projects), and then spending any precious leisure time with my very patient girlfriend. But excuses, excuses...

My current off-off-Broadway gig will end this weekend, and I have vowed on all that's holy to spend the next few months away from the stage so I can focus on other things, like my writing.

Although I haven't done much specific writing for a while, I haven't been a complete slacker. I've jotted down notes and worked on outlines whenever I could -- my imagination seems to have gone into overdrive. I'm very eager to finish some writing goals I've set for myself and tackle some of my other works in progress.

I hope to polish up and at least have completed first drafts of every single project currently listed on the City of Kik Web site. I also want to create a linking narrative for my short stage plays.

Then I want to get into the habit my buddy Vincent has suggested for so long -- set aside a number of hours each week to get some writing done. I've made time for acting (and will continue to act, I've been doing it since I was a kid) so there's no excuse for not making some serious time for my writing now.
