MACBETH WITH LIGHTSABERS I'm about to begin rehearsals for my next play, William Shakespeare's HAMLET, afterwhich I'll be taking a break from the stage to focus some more on my writing and my wedding in November. But in the meantime, I've been thinking a lot about an idea that's been swimming around in my over-active brain for years. I'm a huge fan of Shakespeare and a huge fan of STAR WARS, so I always thought of doing an independent film based on this catchy concept: MACBETH WITH LIGHTSABERS. Picture it: Sith witches, floating light-daggers, major Jedi battle scenes, Lady M driven mad by the Dark Side of the Force. I tell you, it could work! Yeah, Lucas would probably sue my ass off, but a guy can dream, can't he? |
